The video was about the mosaic of the Virgin Mary and the small Christ. What is unusual about this piece of art is, in fact, the message it holds behind. This mosaic was created right after the time of the iconoclasm came to an end. During this period almost all of the pictures showing saints, Christ or Mary were destroyed in the City of Constantinopole as the Emporer forbade the use of them in Church. The reason behind this radical decision was the fear that people were, in fact, worshipping the images themselves not necessarily figures they were presenting.

What does it mean to be a real man in today's world?

I think in our times it's a bit confusing for even a man to define what does it mean to be a "real man". And for me being a woman it's even harder to describe it and I can only guess. However, in my opinion, being a real man is, in fact, being your true self. Accepting your weaknesses and knowing your strengths. Of course, there are some popular believes that men should be self-confident, strong, successful, shouldn't be afraid to stand up for what they believe, yet I think that those characteristics don't only apply only for men, but also for women.  To sum it up, I believe that the key to being a real man/ real human is just to be yourself and be kind to others.

Reflection 2

The recent reflection that came to my mind was actually during geography class when we were looking at the map of the Kielce at its surroundings and the girls at my group weren't sure whether the cave was in Kielce or in some village next to it. And then I just remembered that I was actually in that cave so I could resolve their doubts. The thought that came to my mind, later on, was that travel truly broadens your mind. It's just so much easier to make connections and figure out things when you were somewhere and just remembered how it was.
