Terrible lost for f(x)

This week I read an article about Sulli, a former member of Korean girls band called f(x), that was found dead in her apartment. As a member of the very successful band, she also had to face many challenges such as online bullying. Police said that Sulli also had been experiencing severe depression which is not uncommon in the k-pop industry. Many idols took this radical decision to end their lives for reasons that are connected with being a member of the band. Idols are constantly under the pressure of their agencies and their fans. They are always being watched and judged. I admire those people who decided to choose this path because it requires a lot of mental and physical strength.

The history of webtoons have began in 1990's and started growing bigger in 2003, when portal sites like Naver or Daum began they webtoon portal services. Over the years these internet comics have developed into stories of various genres. It's also possible for readers to leave the comments under the webcomic to communicate with the artist. The popularity of webtoons is growing year on year. In May 2014, Naver published 128 weekly webcomics while Daum around 85.  The growth of webtoons has led to the trend of adapting the most popular ones such as "Secretly Greatly" or "Misaeng". What does it mean to be a real man in today's world?

I think in our times it's a bit confusing for even a man to define what does it mean to be a "real man". And for me being a woman it's even harder to describe it and I can only guess. However, in my opinion, being a real man is, in fact, being your true self. Accepting your weaknesses and knowing your strengths. Of course, there are some popular believes that men should be self-confident, strong, successful, shouldn't be afraid to stand up for what they believe, yet I think that those characteristics don't only apply only for men, but also for women.  To sum it up, I believe that the key to being a real man/ real human is just to be yourself and be kind to others.

Reflection 2

The recent reflection that came to my mind was actually during geography class when we were looking at the map of the Kielce at its surroundings and the girls at my group weren't sure whether the cave was in Kielce or in some village next to it. And then I just remembered that I was actually in that cave so I could resolve their doubts. The thought that came to my mind, later on, was that travel truly broadens your mind. It's just so much easier to make connections and figure out things when you were somewhere and just remembered how it was.
